Subject:   Post-Bargaining Meeting -- March 10-11, 2010

Dear Colleagues:

As communicated in late October 2009, we will have a post-bargaining meeting on March 10-11, 2010, in Las Vegas, Nevada.  The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss the outcome of the 2009 contract negotiations; what we learned and how we can prepare for the next round of negotiations.  We also will talk about the current status and future of the telecommunications industry. 

The meeting will be held March 10-11, 2010, at the Riviera Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada.  Registration will commence Tuesday, March 9, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and again Wednesday, March 10, from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.  The meeting will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on both March 10 and 11.
 
For your convenience, we have blocked rooms from Tuesday, March 9, through Friday, March 12.  Further, the hotel will honor the CWA rate for those who wish to arrive two (2) days prior or remain two (2) days past the dates of our meeting.  Please call the hotel directly at 1.800.634.6753 to make your reservations.  Be sure to advise the hotel that you are attending the CWA Telecommunications/C&T Leadership Conference.  (Their conference will be held prior to our meeting and they arranged the contract.) 

The deadline to make room reservations is February 12, 2010.  Room rates are $69.00 plus 12 percent tax per night, plus an additional $10 for each additional guest in the room.  Check-in time is 3:00 p.m. and check-out time is 12 noon.  Cancellations should be made before 6:00 p.m. PST the day prior to your arrival to avoid “no-show” charges.  Should you need to cancel, please be sure to obtain a cancellation number for verification.

Attached is the registration form which must be returned to my office by February 12, 2010.  Each local will be entitled to two representatives.  The registration fee is $35 per person and checks should be made payable to "CWA Post AT&T Bargaining Meeting."
